NIST Releases Generative AI Profile (NIST AI 600-1)

The National Institute of Standards and Technology released the Generative AI Profile of the AI Risk Management Framework on July 26, 2024. NIST AI 600-1 augments the core RMF with risks specific to generative AI — including confabulation, harmful biases, IP risks, and supply-chain risks — and provides actionable subcategories that organizations can map to controls.
