AI Compliance Atlas (the “Site”) is an informational reference. This policy describes what limited information the Site collects and how it is used.

1. Information collected automatically

The Site's hosting infrastructure logs basic technical information to operate and secure the service:

• IP address (for rate-limiting, fraud prevention, and analytics aggregation)
• User-agent string (for compatibility and analytics aggregation)
• Referrer URL (where you arrived from)
• Pages visited and timestamps

These logs are retained for a short period and are not used to identify individual visitors.

2. Cookies

The Site does not set first-party tracking cookies. The infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) may set strictly necessary cookies for security and bot detection.

3. Affiliate links

Some pages include affiliate links to third-party compliance tools. Clicks on these links pass through the Site's redirect endpoint (/api/track-affiliate), which logs the partner identifier, source page, user-agent, and referrer for accounting purposes. No personal information beyond standard request metadata is collected. The partner's site has its own privacy policy that governs your interaction with that partner.

4. Forms and tools

The Site's interactive tools (Compliance Checker, Penalty Calculator, Impact Assessment Generator) run entirely in your browser. Inputs are not transmitted to or stored on the server.

5. Information you provide voluntarily

The Site does not request personal information. If a future feature requires email (e.g., newsletter signup), it will use an explicit opt-in form, store the email with a third-party provider (e.g., Beehiiv), and let you unsubscribe at any time.

6. Children

The Site is intended for compliance and legal professionals and is not directed to children under 13. The Site does not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because the Site does not maintain personal information accounts, most such requests are not applicable. Contact information for inquiries is on the Contact page.

8. Security

The Site uses HTTPS with HSTS for all traffic, secure HTTP headers (X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy), and is hosted on infrastructure with industry-standard physical and network controls.

Updates to this policy will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
