Utah Artificial Intelligence Policy Act: Who Must Comply
Which organizations and roles fall within the scope of this law and must comply.
Who must comply
Utah Artificial Intelligence Policy Act (Utah Code § 13-2-12) applies to organizations that meet the following:
- Roles covered: deployer, vendor.
- Jurisdictional scope: persons doing business in Utah or whose AI systems affect consumers in Utah.
- Industries within scope: healthcare, legal, financial services, education. See industry-specific applicability: healthcarelegalfinancial services.
Common exemptions
