Who must comply
NYC Local Law 144 (Automated Employment Decision Tools) (N.Y.C. Admin. Code §§ 20-870 to 20-874) applies to organizations that meet the following:
- Roles covered: deployer.
- Jurisdictional scope: persons doing business in New York City or whose AI systems affect consumers in New York City.

Common exemptions
